Most rugs start with a field: a classic rug design, its border, corners and colors left where they were. Then one thing changes: in the Guest Series a guest walks in, in the Word Series a word does, and in the Overdyed Series the whole rug is dyed over. The Graphic Series starts with no classic at all and draws one big idea, edge to edge. On this rug it is a word, OFFBEAT, parked across the medallion.
